Description
Well established Engineering company needs an Associate Engineer to support an active product development team. Tasks will include strong documentation and technical writing components as well as some software development and testing, direct customer support and training, etc. Other technical tasks (such as networking) may be added depending on the candidate's skills, abilities and interests. The emphasis of this junior engineering position will be on producing and editing technical publications, training support for customers, and software testing. Some travel to customer sites may be involved.

This position requires US Citizenship. Security clearances preferred. Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance required.

Experience/Skills
B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Math; 1-3 yrs of experience (may include class projects or internships) in software development and technical writing. Strong familiarity with object-oriented languages such as C++ and/or Java, familiarity with Unix/Linux and/or Windows. As a minimum, ability to read, understand and document code written in C++ or Java required. Other computer skills helpful. Ability to interact with engineers and end users essential.
