Description
We are searching for an Associate Engineer for a contract to hire position.

Job Description
? Perform testing of low-volume, high-complexity optical transceivers/transponders
? Perform prototype-level test experiments
? Document testing procedures
? Trouble shooting test equipment
? First-level debugging of optical transceiver/transponders

Qualifications
? AS/BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Opto-Electronics
? Minimum 3 years of experience in component or system level testing; preferably in the transceiver/transponder or opto-electronics industry
? Working knowledge of BER (Bit Error Rate) Testers, DCA (Digital Communication Analyzers), OSA (Optical Spectrum Analyzers), VOA (Variable Optical Attenuators), Optical Switches, and other optical testing equipment a plus.
? Understanding of basic optical principles (e.g. extinction ratio, dispersion, jitter, return loss, etc.) a plus.
