Summary of Job Function
Supports the development of individuals, teams and work initiatives. Provides the technical direction of the assigned work components for a product, platform or project. Negotiates with stakeholders to determine scope and budget of work activities which advance TSYS business objectives and client needs. Builds and maintains customer relationships.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Provides matrix management to multiple work teams and projects in a high risk, dynamic environment. Team tasks may be highly specialized in nature in one or more functional areas. May directly supervise up to two team members.
2. Assists management in guiding development and support activities for respective area to include problem resolution/management, application maintenance, project requests and system enhancements. Tracks projects or tasks for component(s) to keep on schedule and to recommend adjustments to resource allocation based on work prioritization. Plans, conducts and directs research/development work on projects.
3. May serve as Subject Matter Experts for Components (or development and support for a single module) and must be able to guide understanding of customer requirements and impact for area (e.g. monetary impacts of module to client, impact to system changes and/or issues to TSYS and Client).
4. Oversees review of deliverables from the relevant TSYS processes (i.e., Service Center, Options, TMM, CDMET, and File Transfer) for content, accuracy, and potential system impacts. Has accountability for project teams’ work.
5. Provides regular reporting to the Customer and Director on status of product/projects, work requests and process improvements. Participates in client meetings and TSYS sponsored forums.
6. Leads project team, where appropriate. Provides direction to team members and/or projects. Monitors success of project and/or performance of team members and provides input, when necessary, to their RIGHT STEPS. Teaches skills to help team members increase their effectiveness. Monitors, trains, or provides input on training for the appropriate team member to ensure required skills are achieved/maintained for effective management in their assigned areas.

Education and Experience
Four year college degree and 8 or more years professional experience or 10 or more years professional experience is required. Previous management experience is required for leadership and previous experience managing teams or projects is required for matrix management.
Strong negotiation and matrix management skills - Conceptual thinker - Ability to understand client requirements and collaborate to meet business intent - Helps to collaborate and guide solutions that provide overall success to clients - Strong project management skills - Good understanding of development lifecycle and SDLC methodology - Ability to resolve complex issues, multi-task and flexible in making overall changes and timely decisions necessary for delivery of phase of work - Good understanding of system components.
Preferred skills: Some appropriate TSYS experience is preferred. TSYS knowledge of various functional areas and platforms - Strong card processing knowledge - Broad TSYS functional knowledge Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferrdf-tc
