Audio Programmer - audio DSP - Developer - Engineer - EQ - Echo - Work from Home Office

A company that is in the process of building a very large cross platform networked software application is in need of a DSP Audio Programmer. This is highly secretive in nature and will be discussed in further detail with the right applicant(s).

This position is based out of your home office preferably on the West Coast.

Experience Required:
- Expertise in writing software code for the following: direct-to-disk systems, audio DSP on a PC processor including EQ, echo, comp/limiting, vari-speed and noise canceling
- Maintaining sync between graphical operations including animation, video, UNDO, and audio, maintaining sync between audio virtual tracks and video, animation, other audio over a network, VOiP echo canceling, streaming audio over a network
- Understanding of rhythm detection schemes for auto finding rhythmic events in audio, marking them and enabling these rhythms to trigger events for a computer system, optimization of audio for a minimal drain on available processing and bandwidth, good knowledge of A-to-D and D-to-A conversion, Fourier transform, pitch shifting, time compression, time stretching, digital synthesis
- Understanding of surround sound mixing and formats, chat protocols using Skype and AIM, 3rd party plug-in architectures and APIs, internal and external synchronization, audio and video format conversion
- Import and export to and from 3rd party audio platforms including ProTools, midi, audio-to-midi, automation
- Interfacing with external DSP devices eg rack-mount gear, interfacing with hardware control surfaces.
