Large specialty chemical manufacturing company in the Shoals, has an immediate need for a Design Drafter to provide support to their on site engineering department. This is a six month contract to hire situation. Must be proficient at cost estimating of equipment Must be proficient with the latest AutoCad. Must be proficient at doing industrial process design, P&ID, piping, electrical, structural designs etc Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel. Minimum Training and Experience Associates degree in design with 5 years experience in industrial process design, and industrial equipment design and estimating. This person will report to the Director of Manufacturing and Design. They will design industrial process plants and equipment and estimate their cost. They will work with engineers and others to obtain necessary information and data to complete the design and cost estimates. They will be responsible for the procurement of material and buyout items.
