Description
Innovative New Mexico based organization is seeking a Senior QA Engineer. Day to day duties to assist with organizational QA Automation initiatives. QA Engineer's responsibilities include developing, publishing and implementing test plans; Write and maintain test automation; Develop quality standards; Define and track QA metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Assist the drive of QA automation initiatives. Develop, maintain, and extend automated test scripts and utilities using Mercury QuickTest Professional. Perform testing on C#, ASP.net, VB and SQL web and client server applications. Developing and executing test plans, writing test scripts and test cases, designing automated test scripts, writing sql queries, identifying and facilitating issue resolution, and documenting test results. Ideal candidates will have 7+ years developing data driven automated test scripts. 5+ years creating and maintaining automated test frameworks/harnesses. 5+ years of database/backend testing/programming in SQL. Familiarity with web-based and client-server architectures & patterns. Advanced knowledge of software testing methodologies. A thorough understanding of Mercury QuickTest Professional and Test Director for Quality Center. Experience developing and executing functional, performance, security, scalability, accessibility, compliance, and usability test scripts. Experience with software versioning and configuration.· Solid understanding of underlying architectures and protocols of a multi-tier, browser-based environment is required, including: operating systems, servers, networking, database, and browser technologies.
