We have an immediate need for a BETA Brokerage Mainframe Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently looking for a BETA Brokerage Mainframe Developer for a 1 year+ contract position in Charlotte, NC. The position is paying up to $50/hr, depending on experience

Job Description:
Applicant will be a member of the Brokerage Information Technology staff supporting the clients businesses. Full system lifecycle required including development, test, and implementation of highly robust and reliable solutions. This position will also include working in collaboration with developers and Mainframe resources in other groups to ensure understand, analyze, and implement required Mainframe data updates adhering to corporate standards and technologies and ensuring interface requirements are satisfied. The candidate will be expected to follow standard development methodologies and practices.

Required Skills
Responsibilities will include: Analysis, design, architecture, data mapping, development, defect remediation, and implementation of Brokerage initiatives using COBOL and SQL. "Key Skills: COBOL, BETA, SQL, DB2. Candidate must possess and demonstrate: Good oral and written English communication skills, A team player attitude and must demonstrate an understanding of development principles and practices. 8+ years overall IT experience including database development, architecture and design, and distributed applications development. Candidates possessing the following are preferred:

Experience with COBOL, DB2, BETA, Oracle, SQL Server, Microsoft development technologies with 5+ years experience using SQL preferred. Candidate must be able to contribute in all layers of technical design, data mapping, development, testing and implementation.

Experience with IBM MQ Series and WebSphere Workflow and/or Actuate report development is a plus.

Business Knowledge Needed:

Wachovia ISG (helpful); Brokerage or financial business knowledge along with associated technologies; 2+ year Brokerage industry experience preferred.
