Description
The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, design and implementation of Star Schema datamarts. This role will be part of a core team of individuals responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions that will support the company's analysis and reporting initiatives

* Work with business users, managers, stakeholders, customers and project managers to gather and analyze the requirements for Datawarehouse projects
* Design and implement Star-Schema Data Models to meet the analysis and reporting business requirements.
* Create Source to target mapping documents to populate the datamarts from the ODS.
* Work with ETL programmers and Database Administrators to create detailed design documents for system build activities.
* Participate in Quality Assurance testing to ensure the delivery of high quality solutions meeting or exceeding business user expectations.
* Work with Cognos report developers to ensure efficient access to the reporting datamarts.

Required Technical Skills:
* 5 - 7 years experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst/Reporting Analyst in a Data Warehousing environment
* Solid understanding of star schema and snowflake schema database architectures
* Ability to translate complex reporting requirements into well designed data models that facilitate analysis and report creation.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience with Cognos 8.x analysis and reporting software, including framework manager

Preferred Technical Skills:
* Basic knowledge of the Insurance industry experience is a strong plus.
* Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is a strong plus.

Required Soft Skills:
* Impeccable written and verbal communication skills

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business/Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required.df-tc
