Position Summary:
Responsible for leading the design and development of enterprise-wide business intelligence applications and architecture. Works closely with enterprise-wide business to understand key metrics and analytics in delivering effective decision support and analytical solutions. Develops standards, policies and procedures for the form, structure and attributes of the business intelligence tools and systems. Researches new technology and develops business cases to support the business intelligence goals and objectives

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
-Works closely with the business in gathering and documenting the key performance indicators and other analytical metrics
-Develops business intelligence solutions
-Helps define the solution architecture, design and implementation in support of the information needs of the business
-Directs the architectural design and development of the enterprise data warehouse and focused data marts
-Participates in defining and maintaining the data warehouse/business intelligence strategic plans and roadmaps
-Provides expertise in dimensional modeling and Universe design
-Establishes development standards/best practices regarding business intelligence projects
-Designs a comprehensive multi-tier architecture conforming to Services-Oriented Architecture concepts
-Responsible for the database design of the enterprise data warehouse
-Collaborates with the Data Integration Architect in the design and development of the required extract, transformation and loads (ETL)
-Collaborates with the production DBA and network administrator regarding best designs
-At times serves as a supplemental/backup resource for other Enterprise Information Management architects
-Reviews data access code for correctness and best possible methods
-Leads performance tuning and troubleshooting activities as required

Job Specifications:
Education / Experience
-B.S in computer science, MIS or equivalent experience required.
-Experience in dimensional and other data warehousing data modeling techniques
-5 years of Business Intelligence Development using SQL Server Analysis Services and SQL Server Reporting Services
-2 years of .Net development in C## or Visual C++
-10 years of Data Warehousing / Business Intelligence
-5 years of database programming
-Experience with Microsoft SQL Serverdf-tc
