Description
The Business Intelligence Developer will work with data architects and BI analysts to design and implement multidimensional cube solutions that meet the analytical and reporting needs of the business. This role will be part of a core team of individuals responsible for designing and implementing scalable Datawarehouse and Reporting solutions that will satisfy client's informational needs.

* Analyze, Design and Implement multidimensional cube solutions using the SQL Server 2005 Microsoft Analysis Services technology.
* Utilize multidimensional expressions (MDX) to add calculated members and other dynamically calculated values to the Analysis Services cubes.
* Assist BI analysts and Cognos report developers in the creation of reporting and dashboard solutions against Analysis Services cube data sources.
* Work closely with data architects and data modelers to create Star Schema relational databases that will be used to source Analysis Services cubes.
* Participate in Quality Assurance testing to ensure the delivery of high quality solutions meeting or exceeding business user expectations.

Required Technical Skills:
* 3 - 5 years experience in designing and implementing Analysis Services cubes using SQL Server 2005
* 3 - 5 years experience using multidimensional expressions (MDX) within Analysis Services for calculating metrics.
* Solid understanding of star schema, snowflake schemas and multidimensional cube architectures.

Preferred Technical Skills:
* Experience with Cognos 8.x analysis and reporting software is a plus.
* Basic knowledge of the Insurance industry experience is a strong plus.
