Description
The Basis Administrator shall provide direction and oversight for all technical tasks related to SAP Basis activities, including system administration, performance tuning, database administration, and application development support. The candidate will have responsibility for the overall management of the Basis administration of the SAP CRM 7 system landscape and ensure that the system meets required availability, scalability, performance and recoverability.

Key Responsibilities:
1.Performs planning and updates for SAP software corrections including SAP OSS notes and SAP support packages (support pack, hot pack, refresh system modification etc).
2.SAP system troubleshooting and problem solving, as well as day-to-day monitoring and administration, performance/tuning, and application support.
3.Works with the project team and IT platform teams to define the physical production landscapes for SAP.
4.Configures and executes SAP change control functions including the transport management system (TMS) and batch jobs management.
5.Create and maintain documentation related to production batch jobs
6.Collaboration with other IT support teams (CRM application support, desktop support, etc.) to ensure ongoing application support and maintenance.
7.Manages documentation of all procedures, processes, installation prerequisites, installation guides, and system administration guides for SAP infrastructure.
8.Configuration and support of Solution Manager for monitoring and diagnostics.

Competences Needed:
Minimum 3 years experience in SAP Basis, including installation, configuration and maintenance of SAP components; conduct upgrades, backups/recovery, system refresh and troubleshooting, administers databases, conducts failover of production systems, and monitors and ensures performance of SAP CRM system.

Experience of at least one full project life cycle, preferably in multi-national, multi-language environment.

- NetWeaver certified consultant (v.6.40 or newer)
- Experience of system installations
- A minimum of 2 years experience of SAP on project relevant OS and database
- Extensive software logistics skillset (i.e. TMS)
- Extensive Solution Manager skillset
- SAP CRM middleware experience
- SAP ECC, BI, MDM, etc. Basis administration is desirable
