Becubic Chief Solution Architect

Job Description

Confirms Designs, POC and Implementation plans
Coaches and Trains on development and extensibility technologies
Expert in the technology implementation capabilities, architecture, development and design
Responsibility for all Solution design and integrity, acts as solution arbiter
Develop a high level of expertise around becubic solutions
Communicate with Project Manager to develop and confirm Project Plans
Managers Solution Developers
Communicate with the Product Manager to define new solution or product improvements
Manages PS DEV Develops, SE's ad PM's (if Director of Solution area)
Communicates with development on promotion of FDI's to GA

Experience/Skills
Skills required

Minimum 1 year of experience with becubic or equivalent technology
Minimum 10 years of software engineering, architecture and design experience in a software company or equivalent
Highly technical, can develop and train developers on extensibility and provider development
Strong enterprise architectural understanding and design and development capabilities
Strong experience in developing requirements and design documentation
Strong technical knowledge of relational databases (Oracle or DB2 or SQL Server)
Strong understanding of development methods (Procedural, OO, SOA) as well as XML, XMI, WS related standards
Strong programming skills
Solid background in legacy technologies (preferred MVS/Cobol/DB2/Cics) and in new technologies (preferred Java/XML/ J2EE Application Servers).
Strong understanding of the Metadata (application oriented) theory (OMG-MOF would be appreciated)
Must be "customer service" oriented
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
o Equally effective in one-to-one and group settings
o Ability to deliver formal presentations at different levels within an organization
o Strong ability to listen to business needs, identify desired outcomes and craft comprehensive solutions while building credibility in relationships.

Very limited up to 25%

Education

Masters degree in scientific discipline preferred
