Description
Business analysts define and document business requirements. Typically, a project will include a group of Full time business analysts with experience in defining requirements for software projects, who will draw on part time or Full time subject matter experts as necessary. Business analysts serve as a critical link between end-users and the configuration and integration developers, who may be unfamiliar with the business requirements. They should be familiar with the process of documenting software requirements and working on a software project.

* Leading detailed requirements gathering sessions
* Elaboration of high-level process flows
* Writing use cases
* Documenting screen configuration requirements
* Documenting business rules
* Documenting form and reports designs
* Mapping data between systems (in conjunction with the data architect)
* Determining BillingCenter configuration and other typelist (drop-down) values
* Working with configuration and integration developers to ensure their work conforms to business requirements

Required Technical Skills:
* 5+ years of relevant experience in general Information Technology, the insurance industry
* 5+ years of business analysis experience for a Billing and Collection system
* Knowledge of the applicable insurance domain (policy, claims, billing & collections, etc.)
* Experience documenting business requirements (process maps, use cases, etc.)
* Ability to do research and reach out to subject matter experts when necessary
* Knowledge of MS Project and ability to update tasks, deliverables, milestones, etc.
* Solid experience developing high quality documentation
In addition to writing requirements, this person needs to be able to help with test cases for UAT and training materials of end users.
Experience with Guidewire products and/or insurance industry background is a plus.
This individual needs to be able to interact with our business experts to listen to their needs and translate that into requirements for the developers (so interpersonal skills are very important).
