We have an immediate need for a Body/Chassis/Interior/Component Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Great opportunity for a fourteen month contract assignment for a degree engineer with body, chassis, interior, and component engineering experience in the automotive industry. This Body/Chassis/Interior/Component Engineer will be responsible for the design and releasing of interior soft trim(cargo, floor, and NVH) for the soft trim programs. Duties include daily interface with client engineers and management and suppliers. Must manage program to meet deliverables for timing, cost, and quality.
Qualified candidates will have a BS in Engineering, and knowledge of and a minimum of five years experience in soft trim component design, tooling, and material selection. Must be capable of working effectively with interior, body, chassis, wiring, and NVH engineers, and have the ability to effectively communicate with management at design and vehicle reviews. Travel to supplier manufacturing locations including China may be required.
Required skills include: I/P trim, seating tooling; Catia; FMVSS and regulatory knowledge; NVH component design and releasing; cargo trim design and releasing; and China supplier interface experience.
