CONSULTANT – BUSINESS ANALYST – GHRTA

Description:
·Ownership of documentation for product features, requirements and end-user specifications
·Ownership and documentation of special projects such as product enhancements, product implementations and data conversions
·Subject matter expert resource on business processes, client rules and application issues
·Assist in establishing, and adherence to, timelines and delivery dates.

Requirements Gathering & Documentation:
·Identify and document features and functionality of the existing software platform
·Identify and document business value and business need of proposed product enhancements
·Identify requirements that are common across all clients versus those that are custom to specific clients
·Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
·Participate in the redesign of the existing software platform
·Create requirements documents within established timelines
·Update user documentation as required
·Understand the businesses and key business activities that the software platform serves
·Understand the details of the services and functions that the software platform provides
·Keep abreast of client issues, trends and events that affect the software platform
·Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously

Product Development Support:
·Brief the assigned client leads and developer(s) on the specifications and be available for guidance on specific issues
·Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements

Creating Test Scenarios:
·Develop and maintain accurate test plans and scenarios
·Participate in testing activities as needed
·May guide the activities of other testing staff

Communications Internal & External:
·Collaborate with the client leads to establish priorities for product areas and enhancement requests
·Provide sales support as an expert in the Advantage platform as needed to support the sales meetings

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
·4 - 6 years interfacing with both technical staff and business users on software design and development projects
·Project management experience for small to medium-sized projects
·Can structure work and information so that it can be used by both management and developers
·Able to set priorities and manage the work to those priorities
·Able to meet deadlines
·Familiar with all phases of SDLC
·Expert in phases of SDLC for which the Lead Business Analyst has direct or indirect responsibility
·Able to structure requirements and other information to accurately reflect the business processes and data
·Able to design solutions that are easy to use and focus on the priorities of the business processes
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including technical staff, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
·Writes clear, detailed requirements and specifications documents
·Very good presentation skills
·Ability to create meaningful briefings
·Excellent at facilitating requirements gathering
·Collaborates with both internal staff and clients with consideration and respect
·Provides timely feedback and responses to all especially clients
·Able to develop good personal relationships with staff, management and clients and represent Advantage in a professional and positive manner

Desired:
A background in Employee Health & Welfare Administration is a definite plus.

Education and Typical Years of Experience:
·Bachelors degree, preferably in Business or Computer Information Systems
·4 - 6 years of experience supporting development of multiple-tier applications
