Title: Build EngineerThe Client will entertain a 3 Month Right to Hire??Job Description: The build engineer will be responsible for creating (when necessary), monitoring, and improving the software build process. This person will be required to develop and support the necessary tools to configure, build, and install current software products, and recommend and facilitate improvements.While there are many tasks required for ensuring build quality, this position will have the primary development responsibilities for the following: Design, implement, and update automated build scripts Generate and review build test reports and make recommendations , follow throughSupport the company code source toolCreate and validate product installationsTesting and build validation when neededInvestigate industry tools and techniques to support these tasksOther build and configuration tasks as neededSkills:This person must have a minimum of 5 years build experience - comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and the build and release processes is required. Preferred Academic Background- B.Sc. in a software related field with substantial field experienceExperience in building in LINUX as well as Windows environmentsExperience in deployment of servers and clientsPerl, shell, and other scripting experienceExperience building with Ant and java, creating Ant build scriptsStrong InstallAnywhere skillsMust be able to generate reports and make recommendations.
