Description
Build / Release Engineer provides comprehensive management of American Funds Web Group software products by implementing, maintaining industry-proven ?best-practice? CCM methodologies to software development efforts. - Provide Software Build support and deployment support for a Java multi-tier application. - Provide a development infrastructure consisting of tools and processes to serve as a framework for addressing business challenges. - Institute auditable, repeatable, and scaleable release-management processes and procedures based on industry-proven methodologies. - Provide a predictable and scaleable development environment for code and content to meet business needs in a timely manner. - Automate repetitive tasks pertaining to development, build, and deployment. - Management of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Definitive Software Library (DSL) pertaining to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The Release Engineer also plans, coordinates, and implements product upgrades and maintenance, troubleshoots problems, and will be responsible for the overall availability of the ClearCase environment. Other responsibilities include maintaining the ClearCase/ClearQuest product roadmap, presenting technical briefings to developers and management, mentoring developers, and assisting with capacity and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements:

-3+ years ClearCase experience -3+ years ClearQuest experience -Strong application development background -Strong UNIX skills -PERL experience preferred -Strong verbal and written communication skills -Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationship with both internal associates and external customers -Must be able to work effectively in a team environment -Computer Science degree highly preferreddf-tc
