Description
Smartsource is looking for a strong Business Analysts to begin working in downtown Chicago on a 1 year + contract.

Start date: November 9th 2009
Location: Downtown Chicago (loop)
Pay rate: $30.00 per hour

LC is looking for two Business Analysts including one Senior BA and one Associate level BA who will report to the primary Business Analyst and the Delivery Manager.

Project Summary:
This project entails the re-platform of an existing VB6 application supporting a significant portion of business in the construction services industry into a web based technology taking advantage of improved e-tools and processing capabilities. Solution will provide clients and prospects the integrated data solutions that they demand. Modules designed for easy adaptability by other applications.

Duration:
The project is estimated to be 12-18 months in duration.

General Requirements:
??? Workflow Management / Process Controls
??? Incorporate flexible architecture that supports much needed features.
??? Reporting and Business Intelligence that allows customization (Charts, Summaries, Drill Down)
??? Custom Dashboards
??? Document Management
??? Elimination of paper through centralized data collection and electronic distribution.
??? Ability to upload information from reliable sources based on specific rules.
??? Reduce new development costs associated with reporting & client specific work process flow.
??? Grow market share and position ourselves to win new business in construction related projects.

Skills:
Business Analysis including:
UML
Use Cases & Use Case Diagrams
Process Flows
Sequence & Activity Diagrams
UI Development
ERD Diagrams ??? conceptual and entity relationship diagrams of database designs
Reverse engineering (convert current components to new requirements)
Provide Load and Performance Test Matrix
UAT Script Development
Reporting and Business Intelligence
Writing & Communication
Problem Solving
Flexibility
Strong knowledge of the following tools:
TFS, Visio, MS Office, wireframe/screen mock-up tools, UML 2.0, JIRA, SharePoint
Knowledge of Object Oriented methodology, iterative and waterfall approach

Experience Requirements:
1. 8 + years business analysis experience
2. SDLC
3. Development and run & maintain experience.
4. Microsoft .net & SharePoint knowledge.
5. Offshore / Outsourced Model of Operations, multi-vendor environment
6. UI and QA experience
7. Experience in at least one of the following a plus (in order of importance):

- Property & Casualty Insurance
- Construction Industry
- Accounting/Finance

Location: Chicago, IL (downtown)
Other Requirements:
1. Passport and ability to travel internationally
