Product Analyst
Thompson Technologies has multiple full-time/direct-hire Product Analyst/Business Analyst openings for our client in Irvine, CA. This is a great opportunity to work for an innovative software company with professional growth potential!

As the Product Management team's liaison to Development and QA, the Product Analyst is focused on capturing the business, functional, and technical requirements necessary to implement new products or features within the product suite.

Responsibilities:
Work with the Product Manager and other project stakeholders to understand and document the feature or product's vision and scope.
Elicit requirements using interviews, brainstorming sessions, graphical modelling, storyboards, use cases, scenarios, competitive product analysis, and other methods.
Write requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.
Coordinate with UI Design and Information Architects to ensure that all requirements artifacts are complete and consistent.
Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents and work products derived from requirements specifications (ie technical designs and test cases) to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly.
Facilitate the review and approval process for requirements.
Manage and communicate changes to approved requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.
Assist in the continuous improvement of requirements gathering and prioritization processes and tools.
Ensure that the business is prepared to support the launch of new features and products.

Required Skills:
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years experience writing requirements in the software industry
An understanding of traditional and new requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, verification, and management practices and the ability to apply them in practice.
Experience with Use Cases as requirements, Rational Unified Process (RUP) and/or Scrum development methodology preferred.
Experience with Web Applications or Software as a Service (SaaS) preferred along with full software development life cycle (SDLC) knowledge.
Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, unless there is significant, relevant work experience.
Must be open to travel of no more than 5-10%.
