Business Analyst for Business Process Re-engineering

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Length: 1 to 3 months

Job Description/Responsibilities:

This will be an assessment of a current business process and series of applications supporting Documentary Collections for a federally chartered bank handling international banking interests. The systems have a lot of activity exchanging securities (eg. TRACERs TRAcking CERtificates) and other high dollar financial transactions. The system is Mainframe based with some front end customer systems.

OFAC (Office of Foreign Access Control) has come in with new regulatory requirements that have altered the clients processes.

The role will be to do Process Re-Engineering by reviewing the current documentation, interviewing the team members, assess the changes necessary to the processes, audit some of the systems, document the new processes, and then present the result to the team.

Client would also like to have an output of recommendations for systems enhancements that may need to be made.


Requirements:
Business Process Re-engineering
Excellent communication and documentation skills


Skills:

Proven experience coming in to audit an existing business process and re-engineering that process based on new requirements driven by internal client requirements, regulatory changes, market changes, etc.
Superior analysis skills which includes ability to interview individuals, analyze documentation, and understand client processes quickly.
Excellent documentation skills. High proficiency in standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
