Description
We are currently seeking (1) Business Analyst (mid-level) with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Visio product skills, and proven experience in the legacy software engineering environment, working with DB2/SQL, COBOL/CICS, SPUFI, QMF ,IBM JCL TSO/ISPF, ENDEVOR and VSAM files, to join our team. In this role, the qualified candidate will utilize their technical expertise to analyze, document and support the Change Asset Problem Reporting System (CAPRS).
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 1 - 5 years of professional experience; or 1 -2 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree, or undergraduate degree (BS/BA) in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other related field from an accredited university.










Experience/Skills
Proficiency using MS Office products, etc.
Mainframe/Legacy COBOL/COBOL II; CICS; VSAM files; IBM JCL; IBM Utilities; TSO/ISPF; DB2.
Familiar with Production Support and Problem Reporting techniques
Systems Analysis; Structured Analysis and Structured Design.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to develop software engineering life-cycle documents (general/detailed requirements; design alternatives; detail program specifications, test plans, test case scenarios, etc.).
ENDEVOR; Dialogue Manager; CLISTs; SAS; FileAid/MVS, FileAid/RDX, InterTest, Xpediter (preferred, but optional).
Ability to investigate/research problems, determine impact, and provide cost-effective solutions (preferred).
Strong knowledge and utilization of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and QA/process methodologies such as CMM/CMMI, etc.
Requirements gathering/requirements analysis skills preferred, including the ability to interface and work cohesively with a professional team of client users and developers.
Self-starter, highly motivated individual needed; team player who adapts to changes in client requirements and priorities.
Some overtime may be required (2-4 hours per week).
Must be flexible, team oriented, self-starting, goal focused and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Background and experience in developing, maintaining and supporting large-scale, high transaction-volume business applications in a legacy/mainframe environment.
Strong/proven programming and analytical skills.
Experience in Information Technology with extensive experience in business process analysis, requirements analysis and definition and use/application of structured methodologies, such as Rational Unified Process (RUP), structured analysis, etc. a plus.
