Description
The Business Analyst gathers business requirements and translates them into functional requirements in order to develop and deliver technical solutions to satisfy business needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES
*Gathers and analyzes business requirements and interprets business needs and issues in order to offer technical solutions that solve the business problem(s).
*Develops alternative technical solutions, develops recommendations and presents pros and cons to the business for the purpose of determining and agreeing upon the best solution.
*Develops and delivers the Project Definition, Investigation, and Requirements Specification documents to capture and communicate the project plan, requirements, and details of the solution to be implemented.
*Participates and collaborates in design reviews to ensure the design supports the use cases and meets user requirements.
*System tests the solution/application to ensure user requirements captured during the analysis are met.

QUALIFICATIONS
*College degree with one year of related work experience, OR a minimum of 5 years related work experience
*High level analytical and problem solving skills
*Experience with process reengineering
*Knowledge of testing concepts and skilled in formulating test strategies and test cases, execution of test plans
*Familiarity of the business processes
*Interpersonal skills
*Strong written and oral communication skills
*Negotiation skills
*Detail and process oriented, with a highly organized approach to all assignments

Preferred:
*Knowledge of accounting systems
*Understanding of basic Investment management principles
