Description
Mastech Inc, a leading provider of Information Technology services, is currently seeking a Business Objects Administrator. The end client is a profitable, fast growing and dynamic industry leader in the Healthcare industry. We offer a competitive compensation package and many growing opportunities. This is a contract position and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Compensation: $45 - $50/ Hourly

Role: Business Objects Administrator

Role Description: The Business Objects Administrator would need to have at least 5 years of experience. This Candidate would serve as a key member of the ACE team and would be focused on supporting Business Objects Tools and analytic capabilities. The candidate would be responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Business Objects shared environment.

Responsibilities:

- Business Objects installation, migration, configuration, maintenance, technical support, and troubleshooting of Business Objects implementation in a shared environment.
- Participate in and contribute to the implementation of best industry practices for Business Objects.
- Contribute to architecture and capacity planning activities.
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity management.
- Implement patches and other day-to-day Business Objects administration task.
- Work with IT and business users to resolve support and technical questions.
- Contribute to coordination and planning of Business Objects related activities.
- Provide off-hours and weekend support in an on-call rotation.

Required Skills:

- Business Objects/Web Intelligence 5.x/6.x.
- Business Objects XI.
- Crystal Enterprise 10.
- UNIX/ AIX.
- Windows 2003 Server/IIS administration.
- Web Infrastructure (Firewalls, Web Server, and Application Servers).
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Good understanding of various database platforms, including Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, and Teradata.
- Good understanding of basic universe and report development.
- Practical experience of basic SQL skills.

Desired Skills:

- Crystal Reports.
- Xcelsius.
- .NET and/or J2EE development
- Minimum of 8 years IT experience.
- 5 years of Business Objects experience.
- 2 years of Client Support.

Education: Bachelor's degree (Required)/ MBA (Desired)
Experience: Minimum 5 years
