Global Financial Firm located in Warren, NJ has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Business Objects Admin.

OVERVIEW:

The Business Objects Enterprise (BOE)/Crystal Reports administrator will be responsible for architecture, and application support of an extreme availability, high-performance IBM AIX based BOE/Crystal Reports infrastructure for the GTS Reporting Shared Technology Environment.

HIGH LEVEL SUMMARY: As a Technical Specialist, the candidate will be responsible for managing, capacity analysis, BOE/Crystal Reports environment installation and setup in a 24/7 environment. Supported systems include e-commerce, accounting, customer service, warehouse management, and/or decision support.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Management of open BOE/Crystal Reports support tickets.

* Tracking of Critical BOE & Crystal Reports patches.

* Developer and other support personnel training.

* Architecture help with Software implementation.

* Troubleshooting expertise.

* Capacity and Stability reporting and design specific to BOE/Crystal Reports Servers and services.

Secondary Responsibilities:

* Capacity planning and projections for a large/high capacity reporting environment.

* Participate in performance analysis and tuning projects of the reporting infrastructure with the associated applications.

* Mentoring junior staff and providing technical leadership to large-scale projects.

* Lead initiative to develop scripts and other programs for system monitoring and maintenance.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Competencies:

* Good working knowledge of BOE version XI 3.1/Crystal Reports suite of products (including CMS, Infoview, Report Viewer, RAS, FRS, etc)

* UNIX System Administration (IBM AIX) experience in order to troubleshoot system problems.

* Complete understanding of backup and recovery operational processes and technologies.

Interpersonal & Leadership Competencies:

* Works well and respects other disciplines of the project teams.

* Ability to manage risk appropriately.

* Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

* Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills.

Other Experience:

* 7+ years experience as BOE/Crystal Reports Systems administration of a BOE/Crystal Reports infrastructure.( Some development experience is good to have )

* Experience with IBM AIX is a must.

* Knowledge in alternate reporting engines (eg Actuate) is a plus.

* J2EE or Soap knowledge a plus

A Bachelor of Science or Arts in an engineering or computer science field preferable.
