JOB DESCRIPTION


Participates in systems requirements gathering; facilitate requirements prioritization, documentation, implementation, and support.

. Gathering business requirements using various means such as open-ended discussions, interviews, mockup, prototyping, brainstorming sessions and role-playing, one-on-one meetings, brainstorming sessions, RAD/JAD methodology sessions or sending questionnaires to business users.

. Works as liaison between the business users & stakeholders and the technical team so that everyone has a clear picture of business needs and the solution clearly fits those requirements.

. Works with Data Architect and Legacy System Owner to analyze data in the legacy application and to determine data migration complexity.

. Documents results of analysis using appropriate templates and analysis tools. Use prototyping and /or Pseudo code where possible, to solidify client requirements (in conjunction with Developer and/or DBA).

. Manages changes to baseline requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools. Identify areas of potential risk and communicate them to stake holders. Make recommendations for necessary changes on projects deliverables that are due to impact of projects going on in other departments.

. Works on full Project life cycle - from analysis to production implementation, with emphasis on identifying the source and source data validation, developing particular logic and transformation as per the requirement and creating mappings and loading the data into different targets.

. Manages requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project. Prepared traceability matrices and training manuals.


. Uses guidelines and artifacts of the Rational Unified Process (RUP) in different iterations and phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.

. Performs Gap analysis of various processes used within the organization for implementing Rational Unified Process (RUP).

. Prepares Uses Cases, Activity, logical, Component and Deployment views using various Rational tools so that Technical team has better understanding of the requirements.

. Runs SQL based queries to do backend and front-end mapping for various projects.

. Participates in GUI and functionality testing on behalf of end users and stakeholders.

. Conducts and participates in UAT to get users and stakeholders acceptance.

. Implements ways to reuse requirements across projects.

. Analyze data and create class diagrams and ER diagrams for designing databases.

. Schedule, manage and participate in key quality reviews and develop action plans to resolve issues.

. Ensure that impacts of the project on business processes and business continuity are assessed and continually monitored as the project progresses.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in requirements gathering and development



Demonstrated experience with systems analysis and functional design



Experience with documentation and problem resolution



Meeting facilitation skills



Ability to present ideas and information in group settings



Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle



Understanding of structured programming techniques



Strong verbal and written communication skills that non-technical end users can understand



Ability to create a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external clients





Big 5 experience in a functional role





Experience on projects that are 2+ years in duration
