Responsible for analyzing Business Requirements to understand the business needs and to determine how the Technology Applications can best functionally fulfill those needs. Combine knowledge of what the business wants with knowledge of how the systems are built and used to create a functional design for Technology Applications.


Major Responsibilities:

Elaborate on shared artifacts between the Business and IT such as the Statement of Need (SON), etc. Produce functional specification documentation necessary to support the needs of the project, completing use case analysis and modeling as applicable.
Ability to interpret functional requirements into IT strategies and tactical needs.
Search existing requirement assets for the purpose of re-use where applicable.
Review and maintain traceability between business requirements and the functional specifications.
Participate in functional peer reviews to ensure compliance with established checklists and guidelines as needed.
Participate in training RPS staff regarding any system capability changes.
Ability to use TSO to view datafiles, including DB2 and VSAM files.
Review all product requirement artifacts (SON, etc). Provide input to ensure all necessary information to satisfy the requirements are documented, complete, and accurate. Review and provide input to the business requirements package to ensure completeness, understandability, validity, etc.
Provide input, with respect to level of effort, to the Project Manager for planning and budgeting purposes. Help refine the cost/budget estimates and resource requirements as the project progresses.
Review and provide input on Change Control documents. Ensure comprehensive impact analysis is completed prior to submission of change control documentation, and ensure agreement that the change must be implemented.
Review project plan documentation to ensure the product is complete and reflects accurate details regarding the current phase of the project.
Support Project Manager in measurement phase by providing requirements and change control statistics.df-tc
