"You will have a unique opportunity to make a valuable contribution ina very high-profile, successful group in Server Technologies Development.The Diagnostic and Defect Resolution group is responsible for debugging and resolution of product defects (bugs) in the RDBMS, PL/SQL and SQL*Net products.You will apply proven diagnostic and debugging skills in addition to database internals knowledge for timely resolution of problems.You will participate in design reviews of new features in a supportability and maintainability advocate role. You will propose and implement diagnostic tools to enable more effective problem resolution.In all aspects of job responsibilities, you will be working as a member of a team dedicated to meeting the technical challenges of responding to real-world database issues on highly complex systems."We are specifically looking for people to work in the following areas:XML in the database (XDB).Please check the link. For this position experience in XML is a plus. Dictionary (Core database module). The dictionary code layer has code, which deals with the Kernel generic library cache manager, the rowcache which caches frequently accessed data dictionary meta data, shared cursors. Parallel Execution.The parallel execution code layer has code,which improves perormance of statement execution by dividing up the work necessary to run the statement among multiple processes. STREAMS. QUALIFICATIONS: B.Sc or M Sc. in Computer Science or related fields.5 years work experience (preferably more). Excellent problem solving and debugging skills. Expert knowledge of C with development on Unix platforms. Database internals. Deep internal knowledge of any complex piece of software comparable to the Oracle RDBMS server product.
