C++ Developer for PHP

Thompson Technologies is seeking a Sr. C++ Developer with Unix, PHP, MYSQL for a permanent position in Woodstock, GA.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, code, test, maintain and enhance software. Estimate the size and scope of development projects. Solve Problem and automate procedures.

Competencies and Skills:
Languages:
C, C++, PHP, Scripting (knowledge of other languages a plus)

Operating Systems:
Linux, Windows, Mac Relational Databases , MYSQL Web Technologies , HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJN

User Interface:
Qt Advocate for Open Source Technologies Excellent analytical skills including the ability to work with unstructured information. Must be able to handle complex problems independently, and evaluate alternative approaches to problem solving. Strong grasp of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns with the ability to demonstrate solutions.

Good technical writing and documentation skills with high attention to detail.

• Excellent written communication skills.
• Abstract thinker that is non-rules compliant, but successful working
• Manage complex projects with little supervision or direction.

Education:
BS computer Science I Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.

Required experience:

• A minimum of 3 years experience in software development
• A minimum of 2 years experience in development using object-oriented programming languages,
• Practices, and principles.
• A minimum of 1 year experience in development with PHP.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in development with C.
• Hands on Experience in Developing software on Linux and Windows
• Experience in using version control systems, CVS
