SUMMARY:The C++ Developer/Programmer should be energetic, motivated, open-minded, proactive and skilled with C++ and related languages.
QUALIFICATIONS:* 2+ years C++ development (templates are a must-have) experience* Able to provide and receive criticism about problems and their solutions* Able to take direction yet be self-directed on vaguely defined projects * Must be able to independently complete an entire project, including design, implementation, and testing.PREFERRED SKILLS:* Sybase or other relational DB packages* Writing event-driven systems* Exp developing socket-based applications in an Unix environment* Communication protocols* Electronic trading and FIX-based interfaces* Financial trading Middleware (TIBCO, Telarian, etc.)* Data feed interfaces (Reuters, Comstock, Bloomberg, etc.)* Comfortable using Unix or similar O/S (eg AIX, HPUX, Solaris)* Familiarity with the Gtk+ widget set and exp designing GUI applications* Experience developing with Python* Exposure to Boost.
