Description:The NC Department of Transportation is seeking a short term (6 month maximum) contractor to:
-Support NCDOT Web Services unit in developing and maintaining intranet and extranet web-based applications
-Collaborate with Technical Team Lead to define customer requirements, identify system interfaces, develop storyboard, and implement programming solutions using C#/ASP.NET

The selected candidate will participate in technical design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and support other department activities as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements.Required
• Minimum of (4) years continuous experience developing enterprise level web applications using C#/ASP.NET
• Application development with C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Oracle 8i/9i, ADO.NET, SOAP, XML, HTML and JavaScript
• Experience working with technical team leads, project managers, and infrastructure architect in developing system storyboards, function, and technical specifications.
• Ability to manage time, milestones and be self-directed
• Experienced in Technical and Functional Requirements documentation of final software implementation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred
• Working knowledge of Mapping Interfaces such as Google Maps API or MS Virtual Earth

• State does not reimburse for commuting/relocation expenses for anyone. Parking/travel expenses to/from main site & within Raleigh area to be in hourly rate. • NCDOT will not provide a cell phone to candidate. If required, vendor must supply the cell phone & the cost should be included in the hourly rate.df-tc
