Description
Position Title: C# Application Engineer
Location: Willow Oaks, VA

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Candidate will be a hands-on software engineer doing requirements analysis, software design, and development/unit test of software code using object oriented analysis and design techniques in a 3-tier software architecture with complex business rules.

-Work includes translating broadly stated functional requirements into new design and implementation, as well as maintenance of existing operational software.

-Candidate works as part of a team that includes a database engineer, a presentation layer software engineer, and a business layer software engineer.

-Problem solving skills and technical communication skills are extremely important.

-Candidate assists in preparing formal contract documentation (i.e., detailed design document).

-This position will involve significant interaction with the customer and end users.

-Experience in OO development and a complete understanding of OO concepts is required.

-In addition, experience in OO modeling and design is strongly preferred; C#/.NET development experience is strongly preferred.

-Familiarity with design patterns is a plus.

-Previous experience in a CMM/CMMI process focused environment is a plus.

-Performs complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software.

-Activities range from operating system architecture integration and software design to selection of computer systems, language, and/or equipment.

-Performs in accordance with established project standards and processes.

-Establishes project standards and processes.

-Upper levels may break down software requirements and create highly complex systems.

-A candidate whose only experience is in web-page development will not normally be considered fully qualified.


REQUIRED SKILLS:
-Minimum of three years of C# application development in an enterprise scale environment

-Experience in a CMMi environment
