Description
We are looking for a .Net developer with some exposure to a science or a scientific work environment. Our client has an immediate opportunity for a highly skilled candidate to join their team. This position will work with a team of seasoned developers providing solutions to the internal clients. Your clients will be scientists who are involved in biological testing.

Responsibilities include:
• Receives general instructions for new responsibilities from supervisor.
• Research, design, and develop new features for company core products.
• Write, modify and debug software for client and server applications.
• Use source debuggers and visual development environments.
• Write code to create single, multi-threaded or user interface driven application which access servers or services in either thin or thick clients.

Experience/Skills
Candidates must have:
• 3+years of solid professional experience developing in the .NET framework and C#.
• Experience developing applications to work with Oracle databases and experience writing complex PL/SQL.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of training users in complex topics and making presentations to an internal audience.
• Independent problem-solving skills and self-directing.
• Experience developing multi-threaded applications and Windows services.
• Experience developing web-enabled/internet based applications.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet critical project deadlines.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• Background writing applications in a scientific environment.
• Background in Chemistry or Biology.
