Evaluates systems specifications for complex business requirements, anddevelops and prepares computer solutions. Determines and implements themost efficient and cost effective solution (eg codes new or modifiedprograms, reuses existing code through the use of program developmentsoftware alternatives or integrates purchased solutions). Acts as aliaison between clients and applications area. Analyzes problemsoutlined by systems analysts in terms of detailed equipmentrequirements and capabilities. Verifies program logic by preparing testdata for trial runs. Works with Systems Analysts, operations technicalstaff and IT staff, as appropriate, in the testing and debugging ofprograms and participates in the overall systems testing. Inconjunction with operations area technical staff, supports theimplementation of the application into production. May confer withtechnical personnel. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.Receives general supervision, and is competent to work at the highestlevel of technical phases of programming while working on own most ofthe time.
