Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions and is currently looking for a Network Operation Analyst to join our team in Lincoln, NE.

Job Description:
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Network Support, Windows, and Unix administration is preferred. The position requires performing unsupervised while achieving required goals.

  • The candidates must have experience in providing operational support by monitoring and managing the performance and uptime of Client Network devices and Windows and Unix servers using software support tools. All applicants must be skilled in WAN Transports (E1, T1, ATM, Frame Relay, ISDN, MPLS) and Cisco/Nortel Routers/Switches and Servers (Unix, Wintel, etc).

  • The candidates are required to identify, isolate, and resolve problems related to WAN, LAN, Unix, and Windows environments following Standard Operating Procedures within stipulated SLAS. The candidates will also be responsible for timely update of tickets, proper escalations (vendor/engineering) and keeping the management abreast of outages and changes. Additionally, the applicants should preferably have a basic knowledge of incident, request and change management policies and procedures and their effect on operations.

    *This position requires working different shifts and weekends.

    Required Skills:
  • LAN/WAN Cisco, Nortel (Optional) platform, Unix, Windows
  • Willing to work different shifts and weekends
  • Good team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Bachelor's/diploma or an equivalent education
  • CCNA certification is mandatory

    Desired Skills:
  • Network and servers operations background
  • Bachelor's/diploma or an equivalent educational qualification and a CCNA certification is mandatory
  • Customer interfacing skills
  • Basic understanding of routing and switching
  • Remote monitoring of networking devices
