Description
Modis is currently seeking a qualified CCNA Certified Network Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Phoenix, AZ area.

The role is expected to start immediately and last for an initial duration of 24 Months. Please note that this role is witha 24x7x365 Network Operations Environment - candidates must be willing to work any shifts available, including day shift, overnights, occasional weekends and/or holidays.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The CCNA Network Engineer will be working in a Network Operations Center environment to provide LAN and WAN design, implementation and support services to business enterprise customers in the Phoenix area.

Candidates must have excellent Cisco Networking experience, including the installation and support of Cisco Enterprise Routers and Cisco Catalyst Switches.

Strong Frame Relay, ATM, IPFR and MPLS experience is required in addition to strong Cisco Router configurations using advanced BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.

Candidates should also have experience working with Network Management & Monitoring Tools, such as HP Openview, VitalNet, NetView, etc.

The ideal candidate will be highly customer focused with demonstrated experience in the above areas.

Please note that this is a 24x7x365 Network Operations Center environment. Qualified individuals must be willing to work any and all shifts, including overnight, holidays and weekends.

REQUIRED SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- An active CCNA certification or higher is required.
- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Cisco Routers & Switches, including configurations with BGP, OSPF an EIGRP protocols
- Intermediate experience with ATM, Frame Relay, VoIP and MPLS is required
- Experience with WAP/WiFi and Wireless protocols is preferred
- Experience with VPN concentrators/Firewalls and security is preferred
