Description
East Memphis Company seeks individual for designing, implementing and providing operational support of their network.The position requires an individual with experience in Cisco based Gigabit switching/routing environments. Duties include: Help ensure stability, integrity and efficient operation of the network and in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the applications and services that depend on the Local Area Network and interact with the Wide Area Network to ensure reliable performance. Monitor and maintain all network activity, responding to personal analysis and alerts to prevent and/or minimize network disruptions.Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in communication engineering, computer science, or related field and five years of experience in data network engineering and implementation. (CCNP certification or better preferred)* CCNA Required. CCNP Preferred.*Demonstrated expertise in contemporary network technology including knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/ IP, OSPF, BGP4, IPv6, QoS, and VoIP. * Experience installing and managing IP routers and switches. * Experience evaluating technologies and dealing with vendors. * Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. * Ability to work independently as well as lead cross-functional teams including the use of Microsoft Project

Experience/Skills
