SMARTSOURCE is currently working on a need for 2 Sr. Level Cisco Consultants for contract to hire opportunities in North Phoenix, AZ


Job type: 90 day Contract to hire
start date: ASAP
normal business hours
Salary 90k a year

Network Engineers support a vast amount of technology and when on call have to be able to address problems in many technical areas.

??? require strong routing and switching

??? Knowledge of Cisco Wireless is also preferred

Requirements
Providing design and test engineering for secure data, voice and multimedia services for local area networks (LAN), metropolitan area networks (MAN), and wide area networks (WAN).
Performing task management and project coordination in support of business projects exhibiting a diverse set of requirements in an environment of multiple variations of application services and operating systems. Performing day-to-day operations troubleshooting and support of network devices and circuits.
Maintaining and optimizing network services management facilities in a complex communications environment requiring interoperability, reliability and security. Directing disaster recovery engineering, testing and implementation plans and technologies.

The following skills and abilities necessary to this position:
??? Experience successfully supporting and managing an enterprise network
??? Ability to oversee the development and execution of detailed project plans
??? Understanding of advanced routing and switching, including VSS
??? Strong knowledge of Cisco equipment including 6500, 7200, 7600
??? Strong knowledge of communication technologies such as: TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, QOS, VOIP, ATM, FrameRelay, MPLS, WiFi and VPN.
??? Strong Knowledge in IP Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
??? Knowledge in Perl, TCL, or other programming language
??? Experience in using networking tools, i.e. OpNet and NetScout
??? Experience in change control methodology with an ability to provide clear technical documentation supporting change
??? Willingness to work beyond core business hours, if necessary to minimize business interruption during planned or unplanned security system modifications.
??? Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Experience/Education Required
??? CCNP or equivalent experience.
??? Bachelors degree or 5+ years experience.
??? Excellent written and oral English communication and presentation skills
