Dynamic Product Development Company providing specialty services to the health care industry. Our clients include major hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, medical groups, and the leading health insurance payers.

We are seeking a dynamic CIO professional to manage development and compliance of all IT while maintaining daily supervision of the IT team and partnering with Senior Management on strategic planning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The two key areas of responsibility are the on-going improvement and the on-going operation of our business processes and information systems.


• Work with executive sponsors to develop long term strategic direction, planning, budgeting and contract management for the department.


• Provide IT and solution consulting to the management team of our various business units. This includes new service offerings and solutions specifically tailored to the Healthcare Industry.


• Responsibility for the daily supervision, guidance and production of current IT team including outsource and product support Vendor teams.


• Responsibility for managing Vendor relationship including budgeting, management and direction.


• Accountable for enterprise security, including the ongoing compliance of all IT processes and systems per industry security standards and regulations, particularly HIPPA regulatory compliance.


• Development and management of cost benefit analyses, capacity planning analyses, detailed project plans and ongoing systems support requirements.


• Develop IT resource plan and budget to support business initiatives.


• Create internal controls, policies and procedures as well as disaster recovery plans and business continuity plans.


• Overall streamlining of business processes and systems to enable rapid growth and scalability, including staff productivity improvement, expansion of client services and an enhanced technology platform for our work.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors Degree required.


• 10 years of information systems consulting and solution definition experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role.


• Prefer 5 years minimum in healthcare with direct experience with Health Plans.


• Experience managing outsourced vendors required.


• Must posses a strong understanding of business area values and strategy, process analysis and systems development methodologies


• Experience in the areas of business information systems to include Time, Billing, Sales, Accounting, Recruiting and HR Systems


• Strong understanding of SDLC (demonstrated success in full-life-cycle management of over 5 significant systems implementations)


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Analytical thinking and problem solving skills a must.

• OLTP and Decision Support Solutions


• Conceptual business systems planning


• J2EE/.Net based systems development


• Open Source technologies


• SQL Sever 2005 or later


• Oracle 10g or later
