JOB DESCRIPTION
The ideal IT Security & Risk management Consultant will have the ability to blend technical, organizational, and operational security skill sets and knowledge. This would mean performing both high-level assessment work such as auditing and low-level assessment work such as information gathering and ethical hacking. The focus of this position is on the high-level area to help augment audit support.

The consultant will be performing audits, assisting with gap analysis, risk assessments, developing risk mitigation plans and/or developing risk acceptance requests in accordance with various compliance standards and regulations for a project associated with a Fortune 100 financial client. This includes: project management, reporting, executive decisions, presentations, and white papers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current CISA, CISSP, CISM, and/or QSA Certification required. CISA very highly desired.
A bachelors degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Business or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred.
Approximately 5-7 years of experience in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Strong judgment and analytical ability.
Ability to work effectively with clients, management, staff members, vendors, and consultants.

Must have own computer and internet connectivity (if/when travel is necessary, a laptop will be provided).
CDI will provide secure USB drive and telecon number.

This position will start out at 20-30 hours a week, for about 3 months. We anticipate the workload to double at the beginning of next year, so this position has a high probability of converting to full-time with benefits. If the position becomes permanent, this consultant will need to be willing to travel up to 50% at times.
Individual can be located anywhere in the US. Work can be done remotely, and preferred locations are areas near an airport with a hub, due to travel requirements.
