Job Description:
Will function as the group's CM and QA Manager, performing CM and QA functions as specified in the CM and QA plans including maintaining software configurations in PVCS or ClearCase; construct SW builds; lead Peer Reviews; perform various internal audits; conduct DAR analysis (e.g. selection of requirement management tools such as DOORS or RequisitePro); CAR analysis; reviewing product documentation; specification deliverables; lead the implementation of the developed CMMi LEVEL 5 PLAN; represent the group on various Northrop Grumman CMMI working groups; etc. A considerable amount of internal and some external (customer) interaction should be expected and anticipated.

Will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team providing maintenance and new development to the NASR/eNASR and SPIRIT systems developed by NGIT for the FAA. NASR/eNASR and SPIRIT encompasses both client-server and J2EE components using primarily Oracle middle-tier and backend databases COTS (Oracle 9i, 10g, 9iAS, 10gAS) and over 0.6 MLOC of developed software in Java and PL/SQL.

Primary responsibilities focus on the development of new and the maintenance of existing project software lifecycle CMMi processes and procedures in accordance with Northrop Grumman's DES CMMi Standards.

Will conduct gap analysis to determine shortfalls in existing CMMi implementation and development; implement process improvements plans across the entire range of CMMi process areas.

Job Requirements:
. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science is REQUIRED! (MS is a plus).
. 10 years experience; 4 in software development; JDeveloper and JDK are major pluses
. MUST have CMMi LEVEL 5 Certification/software project experience and participated, assessed (both internal & external) and prepared to lead a CMMI LEVEL 5 Assessment in at least of the key process area groups (i.e.: Requirements, CM, QA, etc.)
. MUST have performed as a Project Lead in at least one of the key process area groups (QA Manager, CM Manager, etc.)
. MUST have performed Gap Analysis as part of the process improvement tasks and participated on a DAR (should have familiarity with the measurement and analysis (M&A) quantitative project management (QPM) process areas and related techniques such as statistical process control (SPC)
. Familiarity with Causal Analysis and Resolution (CAR) process areas including root cause analysis
. Project management experience: planning and/or monitoring/control including exposure to earned value tracking
. MUST have demonstrated skills in problem solving; ensuring customer satisfaction (internal & external); Experience writing documentation (technical & functional); and MUST possess EXCELLENT Communications skills (both verbal & written)
