Description
The CNC Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, and tuning of the JD Edwards Enterprise One ERP system. Ideal candidate will have production administration experience in a JD Edwards shop running on a Windows based environment with Microsoft SQL server 200X.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe CNC Administrator is directly responsible for all aspects of the JDE application servers and the data that resides on them. The CNC Administrator responsibilities include system backups, data migration, security (access to the databases and applications), and ensuring the systems are running as efficient as possible. The CNC Administrator is responsible for package upgrades and approved improvements to the system per business requirements. The position requires experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a timely manner as set forth by the business needs of the company. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Skills required:• JDE Application • JDE Package builds• JDE troubleshooting • JDE web interface• SQL 32-bit • Backups• ODBC connections • SQL jobs, stored procedures, and views• Commvault • SQL Clustering• Scripting • SQL Monitoring and diagnosis Essential Duties:• Lead JDE Enterprise One maintenance, monitoring, and tuning activities• Work with DBA to monitor and troubleshoot application and database performance• Build and deploy packages for development, test, and production environments• Install and configure new environments as needed• Administer job and print queues• Work with Development team to tune and debug applications• Work with remote CNC support resources to maintain 24x7 up time requirement• Monitor and maintain application back-up and disaster recovery procedures• Maintain and audit application level security• Review and install application patches, ESUs, ASUs, and upgrades• Configure and maintain application administration tools for monitoring performance and change management• Understanding of database management in an Enterprise environment• Knowledgeable in database recovery and high availability• Backup and recovery of data• System health monitoring and proactive correction of issues• Creation of jobs, stored procedures, and other database activities as needed• Control of security of the database systems and how users interact with the data• Migration of data based on the needs of the Company• Time Management• Documentation of all processes• Documentation of systems• Database backups and recovery• Basic networking skills required • Activity monitoring• Ability to plan and execute implantations of new applications and systems• Able to work well with all areas of Information Systems departmentdf-tc

Experience/Skills
Four year degree in a technical field is required along with a completed MSDBA certification (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of CNC Administration experience along with Unix (AIX), and Windows OS Administration skills required. Experience with custom application integration support is not required, but is a plus. 7+ years in the Information Technology field performing increasingly complex tasks plus 3+ years of experience performing DBA duties and implementing new IS directives is required. Ability to complete projects on time including the necessary documentation is a must.
