Position Description:



The ideal candidate will act as Senior Programmer Analyst will be part of the team responsible for supporting the membership application developed in Cache and used by the Mid-Atlantic States region of the end client. Working closely with the user community, addressing day to day problems and issues, working them to resolution. You will be called upon to assist your colleagues with their support efforts as well as asked to provide insight to various projects and initiatives. You will be expected to comply with all the end clients Information Technology policies and procedures especially around Change Management, SOX, and HIPAA. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the regions Application Delivery organization and as such will also participate in Code-Review sessions with other Developers, giving them insight into code improvement.



As a Senior Programmer Analyst, additional responsibilities will include:

·


Develops a thorough knowledge and understanding of the existing Membership system functionality, its related interfaces and applications in order to appropriately troubleshoot problems and issues.

·


Identifies and resolves problems using appropriate tools and resources and escalates as needed. Performs appropriate analysis of system issues as reported and understands client business processes.

·


Effectively develops functional specifications and technical design documentation to appropriately document production installs.

·


Identifies key or underlying issues in complex situations. Develops or changes plans that anticipate future events and consequences. Analyzes current systems, anticipates future needs, and takes steps to improve processes in the most cost-effective manner.

·


Takes the big picture into account in developing plans and executing decisions.
Independently performs software maintenance, testing, debugging, documentation, and installation tasks for all production installs.

·


Writes new program and creates new functionality working with basic application systems designs, specifications, standards, procedures and techniques. Incorporates efficient program techniques and procedure structure and easily maintainable code.

·


Consistently demonstrates commitment to producing high quality results.

·


Applies organizational change management techniques and behaviors to identify and implement changes to the KP-IT environment with minimal adverse impact.

·


Applies data gathering and analysis methods to collect, filter, organize and interpret data.
Develops logical and/or physical data models to support users' information requirements and corporate system needs.

·


Designs user interfaces, system processes/outputs and business logic components to integrate a logical group of functions and to meet user requirements.

·


Properly assesses designs against requirements and recommends well-integrated solutions to clients.

·


Applies testing methodologies to verify software or application operations.

·


Meets deliverable deadlines as requested, sometimes within short-notice.

·


Provides knowledgeable and timely 24x7 on-call production support; and actively uses Remedy for all incident/problem reporting and service request tracking.

Interviews will be phone and then face to face. Contract to hire is NOT required.
