JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Category Development Analyst you will be charged with finding creative ways to analyze and drive Category & Wyeth brand sales and profits, with an emphasis on base and non-promoted sales. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing IRI and POS consumer data with designated key customers or customer base to optimize category and Wyeth brand performance. Additional responsibilities include potential data base management and store level data analysis.

Additional responsibilities include:
Achieving and maintaining distribution objectives through category management analysis.
Analyze retailer POGs to identify share of shelf opportunities and develop recommendations to achieve fair share of shelf space for Wyeth brands.
Analyze Category promotions to identify optimal promotional strategy.
Analyze market level and/or account-specific pricing strategies.


Position Requirements:
Four-year college degree
Must possess sound computer proficiency (particularly with Microsoft software applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint); solid analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate independent judgment.

1-2 years Category Management experience, or 3+ years of equivalent CPG industry experience.
Basic understanding of Category Management practices and principles. This could include experience as an account manager engaged in
Category Management activities with leading retailers.
Basic knowledge of syndicated data sources (IRI, Spectra, etc.) and retailer provided store-level POS data.
Basic knowledge of space planning/management software.
