SMARTSOURCE IS currently searching for a Change Control Analyst for a Permanent opportunity in Addison, Texas

POSITION PURPOSE
Protect the stability of the production environment by evaluating changes and assessing potential impact to the production environment. Coordinate the multiple staging/testing environments, and the final production release. Ensure new product and changes to existing documentation is properly reviewed and released. Perform Change Management functions in support of infrastructure and application activities. You ensure that proposed changes are properly approved before they are implemented. Ensure all change processes comply with the published change control policies. Preparation of change control information packages.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Ensures that the performance and availability of the server and network infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards in order that maximum productivity is achieved.

Must be able to work with minimum supervision and make decisions based on available information.

Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment and multi-task assignments.

Ensure the use of "best practices" and apply lessons learned from previous projects.

Resolves exception cases, determining causes, corrective action, and resolution with users, and proper procedures to assure issues do not recur.

Plan and moderate regular meetings with departments to establish project priorities and plan future application releases.

Oversee installation, provide configuration management for and troubleshoot local area network computer software and hardware; install and upgrade network operating system and network-based applications and provide advanced user support.

Perform additional duties as requested.

POSITION PREFERENCES

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems and/or 4+ years of experience in system/network administration.

Project Management Certification (PMP, etc) beneficial.

Experience with LAN, WAN, design and implementation.

Experience with working in teams in a matrixed work environment.

Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

3+ years of Change Control experience.

3+ years of project manager, lead or project coordinator experience

Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, software, protocols, and standards, including, Microsoft Windows, network routing, storage area networks, security.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to multi-task, well organized and willingness to work flexible hours.

Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
