Description
Our client, an established developer of Call Center/ Contact Center Software solutions is seeking
a Channel Sales manager in the Midwest.
The Channel Sales Manager is charged with developing and maintaining a healthy
relationship with the firm's strategic channel partners.
This will include training, assisting in major sales presentations and other activities to fulfill the
revenue and profit objectives of the corporation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive revenue through the indirect channel of partners.
Jointly develop business plans with Channel Partners to help them effectively penetrate and sell
into the market to achieve sales targets.
Manage channel partners in multiple US states
Represent firm at regional trade association meetings and various functions.
Provide an exceptional customer experience for Channel Partners and prospects to develop long-
term business opportunities
Maintain current sales activity, budgets, prospect interaction and account activity in firm's CRM
system.
Direct, evaluate, measure, and review Channel Partners sales forecasting activities
Conduct knowledge transfer to partners to ensure channel readiness
Oversee lead management follow up within territory
Fully support Channel Partners participating in joint sales calls, RFP response, technical
responses, customization requests, installation support and post-sales issues.
Motivate and educate the Channel Partner's staff to successfully market, sell, install and service
firm's product offerings.
Manages timely and efficient communications with Partners relative to new products and
services, and other marketing and sales activities.
Assist Partners in creation of effective marketing communications plans.
Build personal relationships with Channel Partners Coordinates with other departments to ensure
effective deployment of sales objectives.
Participate in regional Trade Associations meetings and conferences in addition to supporting
national trade shows.
Build broad relationships within the security industry to include vendors, consultants, customers,
and other key strategic contacts.
Prepare sales activity reports and presents to management.
Participate in quarterly corporate sales meetings.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree, preferred 6 - 10 years channel sales experience, selling Contact Center, PBX,
CTI, VoIP, ACD or associated systems, including cisco, Nortel, Avaya, Lucent, Aspect product
lines.
Hands on Channel sales or marketing experience (VAR, SI, OEM, 2-Tier)
Superior communication skills, including both written and verbal capabilities Outgoing, hands-
on leader who can operate independently.
Very high energy and positive attitude working in a start-up environment
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work ourt of a virtual office from the homedf-tc
