JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be charged with:

1. Fundamentally managing (hiring, coaching, and firing) a staff of sixteen software engineers, systems administrators, database administrators, and web designers - four of which develop on with Windows and the remainder which develop in a Unix environment;
2. Designing, building, and managing development for our targeting technology and advertising deployment technologies;
3. Collecting input from Business Development to put together project requirements and manage to such requirements;
4. Working with our General Counsel to patent all technologies appropriately.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking a hands-on professional with the following qualifications:

1. Experience determining project requirements for complex development cycles;
2. Experience executing toward deadlines once the requirements are set;
3. Who has demonstrated the ability to manage fundamentally with over fifteen (15) years of solid management experience, including the hiring, firing, and coaching of subordinates;
4. A polished, professional demeanor which allows the individual to communicate clearly and present information effectively;
5. Experience writing high-level design documents (functional and technical specifications);
6. Knowledgeable of the media or online advertising industries;
7. Experience with large volume Internet mail delivery, mail gateways, spam filtering technologies, and basic knowledge of mail delivery technology;
8. Strong familiarity with a formal software development lifecycle, including the use of tools such as Microsoft Project.

In addition to skill sets, this individual should:

1. Not be averse to working sixty (60) hour weeks (a typical work day from 8:00 - 7:30 pm);
2. Be hands-on and capable of executing rapidly as an individual in addition to a manager;
3. Enjoy rapid change within a small, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture;
4. Have a superior business intellect in addition to a technical intellect.
