Title: Cisco Engineer
Full Time Permanent
Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.

SmartSource, Inc is seeking a Level II/III Network technician to work on site with a client in MO. Our client is increasing their network staff because of large growth in their client base.

Responsibilities:

Ability to design, deploy, manage, and support multi-location network environments. Solutions built on Cisco and other products will include routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, MPLS, VLAN, VPN, wireless, etc. Applicant must be capable of being self-managed as well as take direction from management. Ability to troubleshoot and acquire new technical skills is a requirement. Position is full-time, not contract.

Requirements:

· Minimum of 3-4 years experience (CCNA or better preferred)
· Applicant must be versed in Cisco CLI and GUI
· Applicant must be versed in VPN, ACL, VLAN, MPLS and similar
· Knowledge of Secure Computing Sidewinder is a plus
· Knowledge of Barracuda products is a plus
· Knowledge of VoIP is a plus
· Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model
· Experience designing and implementing a layered approach to network security
· Experience in technical project management and collaboration with IT personnel to accomplish projects on time

Essential Job Competencies:

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the patience to mentor and train other employees
· Applicant will be dealing directly with customers regularly and must have a good demeanor, even under heavy work load
