Cisco Network Engineer

Position is responsible for testing of network infrastructure for the global enterprise. This includes developing test plans, lab testing, integration testing, documentation and certification of hardware and OS related to network infrastructure. Also responsible for Level 4 troubleshooting and establishing and maintaining a secure infrastructure.

Skills Required:

• Cisco routing and switching certifications that demonstrate progression toward a CCIE, or equivalent experience that clearly demonstrates proficiency


• Minimum of 5 years of network engineering experience


• Practitioner in network testing discipline


• Understanding of TCP/IP, IOS, security, routing and switching


• Ability to design and document test plans and results


• Proficiency with a wide array of network test equipment


• Ability to communicate with all levels of management both orally and written


• Self starter


• Team orientation


• Results orientation

Skills Preferred:

• CCIE


• MS IT discipline or MBA


• Security certifications and experience


• Ability to conduct technical training to technical personnel


• Cisco Firewall experience


• Cisco IPTel experience and certifications


• Project management/SDM

Experience Required:

• Proficiency in network test engineering


• Ability to interact with IT architects to solve business problems with network infrastructure including proper controls


• Understanding of how network technology and infrastructure can help the business achieve efficiencies

Education Required:
BS in IT related discipline or equivalent
