Description
Modis is currently seeking a Cisco Network Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Greenville, SC area.

The position is expected to start immediately and last for an initial duration of 5 months with a high likelihood of long-term contract extension.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Cisco Network Engineer will be working with an enterprise customer to provide configuration and technical support of Cisco-based LAN/WAN networks.

Primary responsibilities will include the configuration of Cisco Routers and Switches using advanced WAN protocols BGP, OSPF and EIGRP in a Cisco IOS platform. Additional supported technologies may include the MPLS Backbone as well as QoS and VoIP.

Experience using HP Openview or Vitalnet to monitor network performance and respond to network alarms is required. 3-5 years prior experience in a TAC Center is highly preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a Network Support related role.
- Proficiency in the configuration and support of Cisco Routers/Switches
- Strong customer skills
- Cisco CCNA Certification required,
