Link Technologies is looking for a Cisco System Designer for a Contract to Hire position in Las Vegas , Nevada . This is a technical position in the telecommunications area. The System Designer position is a customer facing position and requires experience in a customer facing role.

Duties:

• Plan and direct the analysis of complex internal business problems to be solved with automated systems.
• Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
• Configure system settings and options.
• Plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing; and create specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
• Design details of automated systems.
• Interface with customers in order to collect, design and program complete and accurate database for complex installations of traditional PBX, key system, IP telephony, advanced call center applications and any additional ancillary equipment. Design multiple networks and dialling plans to conform to customer specifications using proficiency in BARS/NARS networking.
• Performs extensive testing to ensure accuracy of database programming after installations as security against toll fraud.
• Comfortable with Client Server relationship and must be able to train customer on use of Client PCs for system administration of the telecommunications product as well as providing end user training.
• Make database adjustments as necessary during follow-up period to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide administrative training including traditional PBX, IP telephony and advanced call center.

Qualifications:

• Combination of education and relevant work experience totalling 6 years post-high school or equivalent.
• Progressive professional experience.
• Business case development and business systems implementation project management experience.
• Strong written and oral communications.
• PC competency.
• Ability to establish and Matrix manage a cross-functional and independent team of professionals.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Detailed knowledge of Peoplesoft in relation to sales/service and supply chain processes.
• Financial business analysis experience preferred.
• Additional skills in proficiency in Cisco Call Manager implementation. Cisco Certifications a plus.
